Psychology, the science of the mind and behaviour, allows students to explore and research the thoughts, feelings and motivations of human beings. In line with our Etone values of 'caring' and 'supportive,' understanding human behaviour develops compassionate individuals who are empathetic and seek out opportunities to help others. As Psychology is a research based discipline, it also promotes curiosity through testing hypotheses, analysing data and forming conclusions. Our students then use these findings to critically evaluate and challenge the status quo. A broad and varied subject, Psychology aims to produce scientifically literate students with a transferrable skill set. From communication, to problem solving, to people skills, to statistical analysis, it is a subject that is valued by all professions and will undoubtedly enhance future employability!
