The history curriculum aims to inspire curiosity into pupils by teaching them a breadth of relevant and key historical developments to learn about the past. The curriculum is structured to build upon their historical knowledge over time, beginning with a local study and a focus on Britain, moving towards an international focus in Year 8 and by the end of Year 9 covering a Wider World Depth study. We aim to offer pupils a diverse curriculum to provide them with an opportunity to understand the experiences of those from different backgrounds, ethnicities and genders, as well as their own identity and the challenges of their time.
